Materials Required. 1 Ball each American Thread Company "De Luxe" Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or "Star" Crochet Cord, White or Ecru and "Star" Pearl Cotton size 5, Iridescent shade or any color desired.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 8.

Work rather loosely. With White, ch 10, join to form a ring, ch 5, d c into ring, * ch 2, d c in ring, repeat from * until there are 16 d c in ring, ch 2, join.

2nd Row—Ch 5, d c in first mesh, ch 2, 2 d c with ch 2 between in same mesh, * ch 2, d c in next mesh, ch 2, 4 d c with ch 2 between in next mesh, repeat from * all around.

3rd Row—Sl st to center of shell, ch 5, d c in center mesh, ch 2, 2 d c with ch 2 between in same mesh, * ch 2, skip 1 mesh, d c in next mesh, ch 2, d c in next mesh, ch 2, skip 1 mesh, 4 d c with ch 2 between in center of shell, repeat from * all around.

4th Row—Same as 3rd row increasing 1 d c between shells. Repeat 4th row working 2 more rows in White, 1 row in Iridescent, 3 rows White, 1 row Iridescent, 3 rows White, 3 rows Iridescent.

Last Row—With Iridescent 2 s c, picot, 2 s c in center of shell, 2 s c in next mesh, 1 s c, picot, 1 s c in next mesh * 2 s c in each of the next 4 meshes, picot, repeat from * twice, 2 s c in each of the next 3 meshes, 1 s c, picot, 1 s c in next mesh, 2 s c in next mesh, and repeat from beginning all around.

RING. Wrap thread around finger 15 times and work 24 s c over ring, attach to center of cloth.

Any of the following threads may be used for the main part of the Face Cloth—"Puritan" or "Trojan" Crochet Cotton or "Clover" Crochet and Knitting Cotton.
