FINISHING
Cut linings and interlining, following directions in kit H-113. Cut piece of cardboard exact size of top and bottom ovals. Cover one oval with lining material and sew in place in top of bag. Make bag lining, inserting other cardboard in bottom between buckram and inner lining. Insert lining in bag, sew slide fasteners in place as illustrated, and sew lining securely to top of bag; also tack along bottom edge. Sew other side of each slide fastener in place to top of bag, then join top and side of bag across back. Make a piece of sc 1¼" x 2" and sew on handle. For pulls make a chain 1" long, work same as first 2 rnds of bottom, sl st, make a chain ½" long, and attach to slide fastener tabs. Roll oval pieces into cylinders and sew securely.
