Rick Rack Edging on Guest Towel Pattern

MATERIALS:
J. & P. COATS TATTING-CROCHET, Art. A.21, Size 70: 1 ball each of White and No. 48 Hunter's Green.
Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 14.
A card of green rick-rack, Size 13.
A green guest towel.

SCALLOPED EDGE … Cut a strip of rick-rack same length as towel and attach White to tip of first point on rick-rack. 1st row: Sc in same place, * ch 7, skip next point, in tip of next point make sc, ch 3 and sc. Re­peat from * across, ending with ch 7, sc in last point. Break off. 2nd row: Attach White to first ch-7 loop, ch 4, in same loop make (dc, ch 1) 5 times and dc; * in next loop make (dc, ch 1) 6 times and dc. Repeat from * across. Break off. 3rd row: Attach Hunter's Green to first ch-1 sp, sc in same place, * (ch 3, sc in next sp) 5 times; sc in next sp. Repeat from * across. Break off.
   Cut another strip of rick-rack the same length as before. Attach White to tip of first point, * ch 3, sc in tip of corresponding point on first strip, ch 3, sc in tip of next point on second strip. Repeat from * across. Break off.

HEADING … Attach White to first point on free side of rick-rack, sc in same place, * ch 3, sc in tip of next point. Repeat from * across. Break off. Sew edging to towel.
