Join and break off. 5th rnd: Attach thread to any loop, ch 4, 3 tr in same loop, ch 4, sc in top of last tr made (picot), 3 tr in same loop, * ch 8, make 4 tr, picot and 3 tr in next loop. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 3, d tr in top of starting chain. 6th rnd: Ch 4, 3 tr in same sp, picot, 3 tr in same sp, * ch 11, in next sp make 4 tr, picot and 3 tr. Repeat from * around. FOUR LEAF CLOVER (Make 8) … Starting at center with Green, ch 10. Join with sl st to form ring.

First Leaf: 1st row: Sl st in ring, ch 4, tr in ring. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 2 dc in first tr, 3 dc in next ch. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: 2 sc in first dc, sc in each dc across, 2 sc in top of next ch. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: Holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make dc in next 3 sc, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 3, sl st in next sc, ch 3, make another cluster, ch 3, sl st in last sc. Break off.

Second Leaf: Attach thread to ring, ch 4, and complete Leaf as before. Make 2 more leaves in this manner. Now work sc closely along outer edges of First Leaf to within first tr at base of leaf, work sc over this tr-bar, mak­ing sc's in corresponding sc on opposite side of leaf. Sl st in ring and work sc in this manner all around outer edges of all leaves. Do not break off.

STEM … Make a chain 6 inches long. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sl st in ring. Break off.

BUD (Make 8) … Ch 5, tr in 5th ch from hook, ch 3, turn and complete as for Four Leaf Clover until first leaf is completed. Sc around this piece as be­fore. Break off.

FLOWER … 1st row: Mark off 9 sc on top of Bud. Using 3 strands of Rose, attach thread to first sc, sc in same place, half dc in next sc, dc in next 2 sc, tr in next sc, dc in next 2 sc, half dc in next sc, sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Sc in first sc, * ch 3, sc in next st. Repeat from * across. Break off.

Sew Leaves and Flowers in place as in illustration. Starch lightly and press.
