INSERTION … Make a chain slightly longer than width of towel. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 5, skip 3 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across until piece reaches across towel (having an even number of loops). Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: Sc in first loop, * ch 5, sc in next loop. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 2, dc in last sc to form last loop. Ch 8, turn. 3rd row: * Sc in next loop, ch 5, dc in next loop, ch 5. Repeat from * across, ending with dc in 3rd ch of ch-5. Ch 4, turn. 4th row: Holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 3 tr in first dc, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), * ch 6, skip 2 ch, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make 2 dc in next ch, skip 2 ch of next loop, make 2 dc in next ch, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (joint dc cluster made), ch 6, skip 2 ch, make a 4-tr cluster in next dc. Repeat from * across. Break off. Work along opposite side of starting chain the same way.
   Press insertion and sew neatly to towel.
