MATERIALS:
J. & P. COATS or CLARK'S O.N.T. BEST SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET. Size 30:
Small Ball:
J. & P. Coats—26 balls of White or Ecru or 35 balls of any color.
or
Clark's O.N.T.—42 balls of White, Ecru or any color.
Big Ball:
J. & P. Coats—13 balls of White or Ecru.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or 11.

Tablecloth about 80 x 100 inches

GAUGE: 5 sps make 1 inch; 5 rows make 1 inch.

Starting at bottom of chart, make a chain 2½ yards long (14 ch sts to 1 inch). 1st row: Dc in 8th ch from hook (sp made), ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch (another sp made). Make 6 more sps, then work * dc in each of next 33 ch (11 bls made), work 13 sps. Repeat from * 14 more times; work dc in next 33 ch, then work 8 sps. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: Dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc (sp made over sp). Make 3 more sps, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (bl made over sp), make 2 more bls, then work dc in next 3 dc (bl made over bl). Work dc in each dc of dc group, then work bl over each of the next 3 sps (18 bls in all). * Work 7 sps, 18 bls. Repeat from * across, ending with 18 bls, 4 sps, then ch 2, skip 2 ch of turning ch, dc in next ch. Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: Work 4 sps, 4 bls, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (sp made over bl). Work 10 more sps, * 4 bls, 5 sps, 4 bls, 12 sps. Repeat from * across, ending with 11 sps, 4 bls, 4 sps.
     Starting with 4th row, follow chart to top. Chart shows one quarter of design. To make second half of each row, do not repeat center sp or bl, as the case may be, but work back. When top row is reached, do not repeat top row, but reverse the design by working back to the 1st row. Fasten off.
