   Starting at bottom of chart, make a chain 20 inches long (18 ch sts to 1 inch). 1st row: Tr in 5th ch from hook and in each ch until there are 244 tr in all, counting turning ch as 1 tr. Cut off remaining ch. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: Tr in 8 tr (2 bls over 2 bls), ch 3, skip 3 tr, tr in next tr (sp over bl), tr in 4 tr (bl over bl), (ch 1, skip 1 tr, tr in next tr) twice (shadow sp over bl); make 8 more shadow sps, (1 bl, 1 sp, 1 bl, 4 shadow sps) 3 times; 1 bl, 1 sp, 1 bl, 3 shadow sps, 1 bl, 3 shadow sps, (1 bl, 1 sp, 1 bl, 4 shadow sps) 3 times; 1 bl, 1 sp, 9 shadow sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, 2 bls.
