Small Ball:
Clark's O.N.T.—3 balls of White or Ecru,
or
J. & P. Coats—2 balls of White or Ecru.
Big Ball:
J. & P. Coats—1 ball of White or Ecru.
Steel crochet hook No. 9 or 10.

Completed doily measures about 12 inches across.

GAUGE: 4½ sps make 1 inch; 4½ rows make 1 inch.

   Starting at bottom of chart, ch 66. 1st row: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (64 dc, counting 1st ch-3 as 1 dc). Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch, dc in next dc (1 bl increased), ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (sp over bl), make 19 more sps, ch 2, skip 2 dc, then make a foundation dc as follows: Thread over, insert hook in top st of turning ch and draw a loop through; thread over and draw through 1 loop (1 ch st made, to be used as a foundation st for next dc); complete dc in usual way. Make 2 more foundation dc and 1 dc in usual way (1 bl increased). Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: Follow chart across. Ch 5, turn. 4th row: 1 bl, 5 sps, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (bl over sp), 7 sps, 1 bl, 11 sps, 1 bl. Ch 5, turn. Now follow chart until 12th row is completed.
