Edging Pattern #8271
Make a chain slightly longer than desired length. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 4, skip 4 ch of foundation, s c in next ch, ch 6, half d c in 3rd ch from hook, d c in next ch, tr in each of next 2 ch, skip 3 ch of foundation, d c in next ch (pyramid). Repeat from * across, ending with ch 4 and s c. Fasten off. 2nd row: Attach thread to 1st s c made, 2 s c in 1st loop, ch 3, sl st at base of ch-3 just made (p), 2 s c in same loop, * ch 5, s c at tip of pyramid, make three ch-3 p's, another s c at tip of pyramid, ch 5, in next loop make 2 s c, ch-3 p and 2 s c. Repeat from * across, ending with p, 2 s c in last loop. Do not fasten off. Next row: Working along opposite side of foundation chain, * 4 s c in next loop (opposite 2 s c, p, 2 s c). Ch 4, skip next loop at base of pyramid. Repeat from * across, ending with 4 s c. Fasten off. Following row: Attach thread to 1st s c made on previous row, * s c in 2nd s c of 4-s c group, ch 3, s c in next s c, ch 4, in next loop make a 3-tr cluster as follows: Make 3 tr, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 tightly, ch 3. Repeat from * across, ending with s c in each of last 2 s c, turn. Next row: Sl st across to tip of last cluster made, s c in tip of cluster, * ch 7, s c in tip of next cluster. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 7, d c at end of row. Ch 3, turn. Last row: * D c in each of next 2 sts, ch 2, skip 2 sts. Repeat from * across, ending with d c. Fasten off.
