Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
2—70 yd. skeins Natural
Plastic Crochet Hook Size J OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW
Cotton for filling, scraps of Black and Red Felt

GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch

BODY SECTION: Work same as Shaggy Dog.

FINISHING: Cut eyes and feet from Black felt. Cut mouth and nose from Red felt. Sew feet and nose. Stuff with cot­ton, and sew in place. Glue eyes and mouth in place as illustrated. Cut 9-fourteen inch lengths of yarn for hands. Fold in half and tie at fold with separate length. Braid, then sew in place. Repeat in same manner for other hand. Cut 6-twenty inch lengths for necktie. Tie in place at neck. Sew side seam. Work a running st around top and draw tight.

POMPON: Wind yarn 200 times over a 2 inch cardboard. Slip off cardboard, tie one end, cut other end, trim. Sew to top of head.
