MINERVA MILADY KNITTING YARN (4 ounce skeins)
6 Skeins—Brown (2 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
6 Skeins—Green (2 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
6 Skeins—Rose (2 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
3 Skeins—Blue (1 skein each—Dark, Medium, Light)
3 Skeins—Red (1 skein each—Dark, Medium, Light)
8 Skeins—Black

MINERVA AFGHAN GERMANTOWN (2 ounce skeins)
9 Skeins—Brown (3 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
9 Skeins—Green (3 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
9 Skeins—Rose  (3 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
6 Skeins—Blue   (2 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
6 Skeins—Red    (2 skeins each—Dark, Medium, Light)
14 Skeins—Black

ATHENA NONINFLAMMABLE CROCHET HOOK—Size 4—6 inch

GAUGE: 5 Sts. to 1 inch.

INSTRUCTIONS:

With Dark Brown, Ch. 418 and work as follows:
ROW 1—1 S.C. in each of first 10 Ch., * 3 S.C. in next Ch., 1 S.C. in each of next 15 Ch., skip 2 Ch., 1 S.C. in each of next 15 Ch., repeat from * 11 times more, ending, 3 S.C. in next Ch., 1 S.C. in each of the last 10 Ch., Ch. 1, turn.
ROW 2—Skip 1 St., 1 S.C. in each of next 10 Sts. (working through both loops of St.), * 3 S.C. in next St., 1 S.C. in each of the next 15 Sts., skip 2 Sts., 1 S.C. in each of the next 15 Sts., repeat from * 11 times more, ending, 3 S.C. in next St., 1 S.C. in each of the last 10 Sts., Ch. 1, turn.

Repeat Row 2 for entire Afghan, and work striping as follows: (From start)
4 Rows each of the 3 Browns (Dark, Medium, Light)
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of the 3 Greens
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of the 3 Browns
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of the 3 Rose Shades
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of the 3 Blues
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of the 3 Rose Shades
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of the 3 Greens
4 Rows Black
4 Rows each of Dark and Medium Red
*4 Rows Light Red (center)
Now reverse striping from *, working the Light Stripes first, then the Medium, then Dark, ending with 4 rows of Dark Brown.

BORDER:

With Black work 3 rows of S.C. around entire Afghan, then work 2 rows of Light Red, 2 rows Black, then work last row as follows: * 1 S.C. in each of 4 Sts., Ch. 3, skip 1 St., repeat from * around.
