How to —
1. MAKE TWISTED CORD:
Cut strands as directed. Knot ends and put knotted end over a stationary hook. Twist strands until they buckle; then double piece and slip other end over hook. Twist in opposite direction and knot free ends to prevent raveling. Draw cords in opposite directions through beading. Tie and trim ends.
2. LINE FRAME BAGS:
FIRST — Measure inside edge of 1 side of Metal Bag Frame; add 1”. This is width of lining.
SECOND — Measure height of crocheted piece including ½ of bottom of bag (if there is one); add 1”. This is length of lining.
THIRD — Cut 4 pieces of lining material following above measurements.
FOURTH — Cut 2 pieces of crinoline ½” shorter but same width as lining pieces.
FIFTH — With right sides facing sew 2 pieces of lining together along 1 width and 2 height edges allowing ½” for seams. Sew 2 crinoline pieces in some way. Slip lining piece inside crinoline piece, turn lining over at top edge and tack (right side of lining is inside). Sew 3 edges of remaining 2 lining pieces. Turn right side out. Slip crinoline piece inside this piece. Turn top edge down between other thicknesses and sew in place. Top edge of lining should be some measurement as inner edge of open frame.
3. LINE DRAWSTRING BAGS:
FIRST — Measure ½ of top edge of crocheted bag. This is width of lining.
SECOND AND THIRD — Same as for Frame Bag.
FOURTH — With right sides facing sew 2 pieces of lining together along 1 width and 2 height edges allowing ½” for seams. Sew remaining 2 pieces in same way. Turn right side out. Slip 1st piece inside 2nd piece. Turn both top edges to inside (between both thicknesses) and overcast.
