Quantities given are for Totem, Double Knit and Baroness. For Sea Urchin, add 1 ball extra tor the Fringe and 3 balls extra tor the Poncho.

HOOK—Milwards "Disc", 4 M/M (No. 8).

Milwards Tapestry Needle for sewing seams.

Milwards "Disc" Crochet Hook 5 M/M (No. 6) for fringe.

TENSION – 1 pattern measures 1¾ inches in width and 2½ inches in depth. Check your tension.

Using 4 M/M (No. 8) Hook, make 59 [B 67] [C 75] chain.

1st row—Miss 3 ch., 1 tr. in each of next 25 [B 29] [C 33] ch., 2 tr. in each of next 2 ch., 3 tr. in next ch., tie a Colored thread around 2nd of these tr. (center St.), 2 tr. in each of next 2 ch., 1 tr. in each of next 26 [B 30] [C 34] ch. (63 [B 71] [D 79] tr., counting 3 ch. as one tr.)

NECKBAND

Using a flat seam, sew up side seams.

Using 4 M/M (No. 8) Hook, work 8 [B 10] [C 12] rounds d.c. evenly around neck, missing 2 d.c. at each corner in each round. Fasten off.

FRINGE

Wind yarn round a piece of cardboard 4 [B 4½] [C 5] ins. wide and cut along one side.

Wrong side facing, using 4 strands of yarn and 5 M/M (No. 6) Hook, fold yarn in half and pull loop through a st. at lower edge, pull ends through and tighten.

Rep. around lower edge.
