3 Skeins "Silkine" Art Thread shade #1025 Medium Pink or 1 Ball of "Silkateen" "Sansilk" shade #12 Pink for the Embroidery
Steel Crochet Hook #9
3 yards of narrow ribbon.

CAP. Ch 8, join to form a ring, ch 4, work 23 tr c into ring.

2nd Row. Ch 3, 2 d c in each tr c.

3rd Row. * Ch 5, skip 3 d c, s c in next d c, repeat from * all around. (12 loops.)

4th Row. 12 d c in 1st loop, 1 s c in next loop, repeat all around.

5th Row. Ch 4, 11 d c over 12 d c, ch 4, s c in s c, repeat from beginning all around.

6th Row. Sl st to center of loop, * ch 5, 10 s c over 11 d c, ch 5, s c in loop, ch 5, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around.

7th Row. * Ch 5, 9 s c over 10 s c, ch 5, s c in loop, ch 5, s c in next loop. Ch 5, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around.

8th Row. Ch 5, 7 s c over 7 center s c and 1 s c with ch 5 between in each loop.

9th Row. Ch 5, 5 s c over 5 center s c and 1 s c with ch 5 between in each loop.

10th Row. Ch 5, 3 s c over 3 center s c and 1 s c with ch 5 between in each loop.

11th Row. Ch 5, 1 s c in center s c and 1 s c with ch 5 between in each loop. Work 8 rows of 5 ch loops.

20th Row. Ch 5, turn and work loops leaving the last 9 loops free for back of cap. Ch 5, turn and work a loop in each loop of previous row and work 8 more rows same as last row.

31st Row. 3 s c in each 5 ch loop all around cap except 2 corners, work 6 s c in each corner. Work 10 more rows of s c working 3 s c in each corner. Shell all around cap. Ch 3, 2 d c in same space, skip 3 s c, s c in next s c, repeat from beginning.

With 6 strands of "Silkine" Art Thread or 1 strand of "Silkateen" "Sansilk" work a row of cross sts, working 1 cross st over each s c.

2nd Row. Around front of cap, 3 cross sts, skip 2 sts and repeat from beginning.

3rd Row. 1 cross st over each center cross st. Finish cap with ribbon rosettes.

SACQUE

Ch 111 and work 110 s c on ch.

Next Row. 22 s c (front) 3 s c in next st, 10 s c (shoulder) 3 s c in next st, 42 s c (back) 3 s c in next st, 10 s c (shoulder) 3 s c in next st, 22 s c (front).

3rd and every alternate row work even.

4th and every alternate row increase over center st of each increasing point thus adding 1 st to each front and 2 sts to the back and each shoulder until there are 214 sts in row.

Pineapple Design. 1st Row. Work 9 five ch loops across each front 1 over each increasing point, 9 over each shoulder and 17 across back.

2nd Row. Ch 3, 10 d c in 1st loop * s c in next loop, ch 5, s c in next loop, 10 d c in next loop, repeat from * 3 times, s c in next loop, ch 5, repeat between * 8 times and work other shoulder and front to correspond.

3rd Row. 1 d c in each of the 1st 9 d c and s c with 5 ch between in each loop.

4th Row. 1 s c in each of the 1st 8 d c and 1 s c with 5 ch between in each loop.

Continue work having 1 less s c in each pineapple and 1 more loop between until there are 5 s c in pineapple.

Next Row. 3 s c in 3 center s c and loop in each loop.

Next Row. 1 s c in center s c and loop in each loop.

Next Row. Ch 8, turn and work a row of loops. (Ch 8 at the beginning of each loop row.)

Next Row. Work loops to first increasing point, ch 13, s c in loop over next increasing point (this forms the armhole) work across back and make other side to correspond.

Next row work to ch at underarm, ch 5, skip 2 sts, s c in next st, * ch 5, skip 3 sts, s c in next st, repeat from *, ch 5, s c in next loop, work loops across back and work other side to correspond. Work 21 more rows of loops.

SLEEVES. Work 23 rows of loops. Next row, 2 s c in each loop, work 5 more rows of s c and finish with 2 rows of loops.

Work 1 row of s c all around sacque and finish neck with 2 rows of loops. Embroider in cross stitch same as cap and finish with ribbon ties.
