Aluminum crochet hook Size H.
Ch 55, 2 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining st of ch, working 4 s c in end st of ch, working on opposite side of ch, 1 s c in each remaining st, working 2 s c in same st as beginning, join in 1st sc.
2nd Round. 2 s c in same space, 2 s c in next st, 1 s c in each of the next 52 sts, 2 s c in each of the next 4 sts, 1 s c in each of the next 52 sts, 2 s c in each of the next 2 sts, do not join or turn this or following rounds. Place a marker at beginning of each round.
Next 16 Rounds. 1 s c in each s c increasing at both ends when necessary to keep work flat, join at end of last round, turn.
19th Round. 1 double loop st in each st increasing at both ends when necessary to keep work flat (double loop st: yarn over index finger twice, insert hook in st, draw yarn through, pulling yarn from under index finger, drop loops from finger letting loops fall to right side of work and complete s c), do not join or turn.
Repeat last round 6 times, join at end of last round, turn.
26th Round. 1 s c in each s c, do not join or turn. Repeat last round 8 times, join at end of last round, turn.
Next 9 Rounds. Work same as 19th round, join at end of last round, cut yarn.
FRINGE: Cut strands 5 inches long. * Using 2 strands, double in half, loop through st, draw ends through loop pulling ends tightly, repeat from * in each st all around.
