MATERIALS:
J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art. A.64: 1 ball each of No. 1 White, No. 49-A Killarney and No. 46-A Mid Rose ... Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7 ... A bone ring.

FRONT ... Starting at center with Mid Rose, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 1, 12 sc in ring. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join. 3rd rnd: In each loop around make sc, half dc, 3 dc, half dc and sc. Join. 4th rnd: * Ch 4, sc in back loop of sc between this and next petal. Re­peat from * around. Join. 5th rnd: In each loop around make sc, half dc, 5 dc, half dc and sc. Join. 6th rnd: * Ch 5, sc in back loop of sc between this and next petal. Repeat from * around. Join. 7th rnd: In each loop around make sc, half dc, 7 dc, half dc and sc. Join and break off. 8th rnd: Attach Killarney to center dc on any petal, sc in same place, * ch 5, dc in sc between this and next petal, ch 5, sc in center dc of next petal. Repeat from * around. Join. 9th rnd: Ch 4, * holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 3 tr in next dc, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 5, in same dc make cluster, ch 5 and cluster; tr in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join to top of ch-4. Break off. 10th rnd: Attach White to same place as sl st, sc in same place, sc in tip of next cluster, * 5 sc in next sp, 3 sc in tip of next cluster, 5 sc in next sp, make an sc in tip of next cluster, in next tr and in tip of next cluster. Repeat from * around. Join. Hereafter pick up back loop only on each rnd. 11th rnd: Ch 3, dc in each sc around, mak­ing 3 dc in center sc of each 3 sc group. Join. 12th to 15th rnds incl: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, making 3 dc in center dc of each 3 dc group. Join. Break off at end of 15th rnd. 16th rnd: Attach Killarney to same place as sl st and work as for last rnd. Break off.

BACK ... Starting at center with White, ch 4. 1st rnd: 17 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join. 2nd rnd: Ch 3, dc in same place as sl st, 2 dc in each dc around. Join. 3rd rnd: Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, * 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc. Repeat from * around. Join (6 points). 4th rnd: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, making 3 dc in center dc of each 5 dc group. 5th to 11th rnds incl: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, making 3 dc in center dc of each 3 dc group. Join. Break off at end of 11th rnd. 12th rnd: Attach Killarney and repeat last rnd. Join and break off.

Attach Killarney to edge and, working through both thicknesses, sc closely around. Join and break off. Sc closely around bone ring. Sew to pot holder.
