PADDING ... If a pot holder consists of 2 pieces, cut lining material slightly smaller than crocheted pieces. Tack to wrong side of one piece, then complete according to directions. If pot holder consists of one piece, cut a lining, allowing ½ inch all around for seams, turn back seam allowance and sew neatly in place on wrong side.
FRONT—Hat ... Starting at top with Spanish Red, ch 2. 1st row: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: 2 sc in first sc (1 sc increased), sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Repeat 3rd row until there are 38 sts on last row. Break off and turn. (More)
