Two-color edging—suggest White and Blue.
With White make a chain slightly longer than desired length. 1st row: S c in 8th ch from hook, * ch 5, skip 2 ch, s c in next ch. Repeat from * across (there must be a multiple of 5 loops). Ch 6, turn. 2nd row: S c in loop, ch 5, s c in next loop, * ch 10, skip 1 loop, s c in next loop; (ch 5, s c in next loop) 3 times. Repeat from * across, ending with 1 ch-5 loop, ch 6, turn. 3rd row: S c in loop, * 3 s c in next loop; (ch 4, 3 s c in same loop) 3 times, s c in next loop; (ch 5, s c in next loop) twice. Repeat from * across. Fasten off White. 4th row: Attach Blue in ch-5 loop, * ch 10, sl st into center p of scallop, ch 10, s c in next loop, ch 3, s c in next loop. Repeat from * across, ending with two ch-10 loops. Ch 1, turn. 5th row: 3 s c in loop, * (ch 4, 3 s c in same loop) 3 times, 3 s c in next loop; (ch 4, 3 s c in same loop) 3 times, s c in next sp, 3 s c in next loop. Repeat from * across. Fasten off.
