1-7 or 8 inch Doll
1 ½ yds. Narrow Ribbon

Bodice: With White ch 14, d c in 4th st from hook, 1 d c in each of the next 10 sts of ch, turn.

2nd Row-Ch 3 (Counts as 1 d c), ] d c in each d c (12 d c), turn. Repeat the 2nd row] 3 times (piece should measure 3 ¾ inches).

Without turning, start beading for waistline, ch 5 and working across long side, d c in base of same row, * ch 2, d c in base of next row, repeat from * across row, ch 6, turn.

Start Skirt-Tr c in 1st d c, * ch 2, 2 tr c, ch 2, 2 tr c in next mesh, ch 2, 1 tr c, ch 2, 1 tr c in next d c, repeat from * across row ending row with ch 2, 2 tr c, ch 2, 2 tr c in last mesh, ch 2, join in 4th st of ch 6.

2nd Round-Sl st into loop, ch 6, tr c in same space, * ch 2, skip 1 loop, 3 tr c, ch 2, 3 tr c (shell) in next loop, ch 2, skip 1 loop, 1 tr c, ch 2, 1 tr c in next loop, repeat from * all around ending round with ch 2, skip 1 loop, 3 tr c, ch 2, 3 tr c in next loop, ch 2, join in 4th st of ch.

3rd Round-Sl st into loop, ch 6, tr c in same space, ch 2, skip 1 loop, shell in center of next shell, * ch 2, skip 1 loop, 1 tr c, ch 2, 1 tr c in next loop, ch 2, skip 1 loop, shell in center of next shell, repeat from * all around, ch 2, join, cut White.

4th Round-Attach Tinted Pink and Yellow in loop and work same as last round.

5th Round-Same as 3rd round, cut thread.

Attach White and work 2 rounds same as last round, cut thread.

Attach Tinted Pink and Yellow and work 2 rounds same as last round, drop thread.

Next Round-Attach White in next loop, ch 1, s c in same space, * ch 5, 4 tr c, ch 2, 4 tr c in center of next shell, ch 5, skip 1 loop, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around, join, cut White.

Next Round-Pick up Tinted Pink and Yellow, * ch 3, s c in same space, ch 3, s c in next ch 5 loop, ch 3, s c in next tr c, ch 3, skip 1 tr c, s c in next tr c, ch 3, s c in center of shell, ch 3, s c in same space, ch 3, skip 1 tr c, s c in next tr c, ch 3, skip 1 tr c, s c in next tr c, ch 3, s c in next ch 5 loop, ch 3, s c in next s c, repeat from * all around, cut thread.

SHOULDER STRAPS: Attach White in base of 2nd row at top of bodice, ch 10, skip 3 rows, s c in next row working over the end st, cut thread. Skip 3 rows at front, attach thread in next row, ch 10, skip 2 rows, s c in base of next row, cut thread.

COLLAR: Attach White in 1st row at top of bodice, ch 3, 2 d c in same space, 3 d c over end st of next row, 10 d c over the ch 10 loop, 3 d c in each of the next 3 rows working over the end st of each row, 10 d c over next ch 10 loop, 3 d c in each of the next 2 rows, ch 4, turn.

Next Row-D c in next d c, * ch 1, d c in next d c, repeat from * across row working last d c in 3 rd st of end ch, ch 6, turn.

Next Row- Tr c in next d c, * ch 2, tr c in next d c, repeat from * across row, cut thread.

Attach Tinted Pink and Yellow in 1st loop, ch 3, s c in same space, * s c in next loop, ch 3, s c in same space, repeat from * across row, cut thread. Slip on doll and tie at back of neck with tiny bow. Lace ribbon through beading and tie at side front.

If desired make a crinoline and taffeta underskirt and place under dress.

HAT: With Tinted Pink and Yellow, ch 6, join to form a ring, ch 3 and work 14 d c in ring, join in 3rd st of ch.

2nd Round-Ch 3, d c in same space, * 2 d c in next st, repeat from * all around, join.

3rd Round-Ch 4, d c in next d c, * ch 1, d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, ch 1, join in 3rd st of ch, cut thread.

Next Round-Attach White in ch 1 loop, * ch 3, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around, join, cut thread. Sew ribbon on each side of hat and tie in a bow.
