Three-color edging—suggest Yellow, Blue and Beauty Pink. With Yellow, make a chain slightly longer than desired length. 1st row: D c in 5th ch from hook, * skip 2 ch, d c in next ch, ch 1, d c in same place as last d c. Repeat from * across. Drop Yellow, attach Pink. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: 2 s c in ch-1 sp, * ch 1, 2 s c in next ch-1 sp. Repeat from * across. Fasten off. 3rd row: Pick up Yellow, ch 4, in each ch-1 sp across make d c, ch 1 and d c. Ch 1, skip 2 s c, d c in next ch. 4th row: Drop Yellow, attach Blue to beginning of 3rd row, make 2 s c in sp, * ch 1, 2 s c in next ch-1 sp. Repeat from * across. Fasten off. Pick up Yellow, ch 4, turn. 5th row: Repeat 3rd row. Fasten off. 6th row: Attach Pink, in ch-1 sp make s c, half d c, 3 d c, half d c and s c. S c between next 2 d c, drop Pink. Attach Blue and draw through loop on hook; holding unused color at top of previous row and working over it to conceal it, into next ch-1 sp make s c, half d c, 3 d c, half d c and s c. S c between next 2 d c. Drop Blue, pick up Pink and continue thus across, alternating colors for each scallop.
