Feminine Frills Edging Pattern #8497
MATERIALS:
We suggest thread in sizes 30 to 70
1st row: Ch 41. D c in 8th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch. Repeat from * across (12 sps). Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: * D c in next d c, ch 2. Repeat from * across. Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: 2 sps, d c in next 2 ch, d c in next d c (1 bl); 9 sps, ch 5, d c at base of last d c, ch 5, turn; d c in 3rd st of last ch-5 (2 sps increased). Ch 5. 4th row: D c at base of last d c, 3 more sps, 1 bl, 4 sps, 3 bls, 2 sps. Ch 5, turn. Now follow chart, starting at 5th row, until 9 rows are made; turn. 10th row: Sl st in next 6 sts (2 sps decreased), ch 5 and follow chart across row. Ch 5, turn. Now follow chart to top (2 sp's remain on last 2 rows). Fasten off. Attach thread to 12th d c, counting along top side, from last row; then make 3 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, 1 bl, 6 sps, inc. 2 sps. Ch 5 and follow second chart to top. Then repeat design from 1st to 36th rows incl. for desired length. Make another corner as before and continue thus for desired length. Work a row of s c all around outer edge, making necessary decreases or increases at corners to keep work flat.
