MATERIALS—Lily Soft Spun Yarn:—1-ball each White and a color. Lily Sil-Tone Mercerized Crochet Cotton:—A partial ball each of Black and Red. Crochet hooks size 0 and 10 or 11. ⅔-yd. baby ribbon. In colored Soft Spun Yarn and size 0 hook, ch 64, sc in 4th ch, (ch 1, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch) repeated across. ROW 2—* Ch 2, turn, sc between last 2 sc, (ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp between sc) repeated across to end ch-2. Repeat from * for 6", join White and make 6" more up to neck. SHAPING NECK—Ch 2, turn, sc between last 2 sc, (ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp) 14 times. (Next sc in last row is center). ROW 2—Turn without chaining, sc between last 2 sc, (ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp) repeated across to end ch-2. ROW 3—Ch 2, turn, sc between last 2 sc, (ch 1, sc in next ch 1-sp) repeated across to between 2 end sc. Repeat these last 2 rows for 2". Then work straight (ch 2 to turn each row) for 2" more. Fasten off. Sk next (center) sc on last long row, sc in next ch 1-sp, (ch 1, sc in next sp) 15 times out to end ch-2. Repeat Rows 3 and 2 to match 1st side, then work straight to match. Fasten off. EDGE—In color and working across bottom edge, make sc in corner, ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, sl st in sc for a p, * (ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp) 3 times, a ch-3 p. Repeat from * across to corner. Turn bottom edge up over 3d White row and pin for a pocket. Join color at lower, corner and working thru 2 thicknesses of pocket, make a ch-3 p, * (ch 1, sc in next 2d row) 3 times, a p. Repeat from * up side, across end and down neck edge to start of angle. Make sc across angle down to center and up across next angle. Then continue p-edge up neck, across end and down side to bottom corner, spacing ps to match other side. Fasten off. NECK POINTS—Join color to center sc, (ch 5, sc) 4 times up to top angle corner. * Ch 1, turn, (7 sc in next lp) 3 times, 3 sc in half of next lp. Turn, (ch 5, sc in center sc of next lp) 3 times. Ch 1, turn, (7 sc in next lp) twice, 3 sc in half of next lp. Turn, (ch 5, sc in center sc of next lp) twice. Ch 1, turn, 7 sc in next lp, 3 sc in half of next lp. Ch 5, turn, sc in center of next lp. Ch 1, turn, 7 sc in lp, (4 sc in bal. of next lp) 3 times. Fasten off. * Join to top of other angle, (ch 5, sc) 4 times down to center sc. Repeat from * to *. Turn points over on right side and tack tips down. SCOTTIEBODY—In Black and size 10 or 11 hook, ch 22, sk last 4 ch, dc in 17 ch, 3 dc in end ch. Ch 4, turn, 2 dc in last dc, dc in each st across to end ch-4. Ch 3, turn, make dc in each dc across with 2 dc in end ch-4. (Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across) twice. Ch 1, turn, sc in 8 dc. (Ch 2, turn, hdc in 8 sts) twice. 2 sc in side of leg, hdc in angle, sk 1 dc on body, sl st in next dc, (ch 2, sl st in next 2 dc) 5 times, ch 1, sc in next 4 dc, (1 sc, 1 hdc and 2 dc) all in end st. (Ch 1, turn, hdc in 8 sts) twice. 3 sc up side of leg, ch 1, sl st in next dc-row, (ch 2, sl st between dc-rows) 4 times, ch 6, holding back the last lp of each tr on hook, make 3 tr in corner of body, thread over and pull thru all lps on hook (a Cluster made), ch 4, sl st in Cluster for a p. Fasten off. HEAD—Starting at top, make 10 sc down across neck angle. Ch 7, turn, sk 4 ch, dc in 3 ch, dc in 10 sc. Ch 3, turn, dc in 13 dc, dc in end ch-4. Ch 1, turn, 1 sc, 1 hdc and 13 dc across row. Ch 4, turn, (a dc in last 4 dc) made into a Cluster, a ch-4 p, ch 3, sl st down in same st with last dc, sc in next 2 dc, a ch-3 p, sc in next 7 sts, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next st, (ch 3, sc in next row) 3 times across end. Fasten off. RIBBON—In Red, ch 12, sk 1 ch, 11 sc on ch. BOW—Ch 13, sl st in 1st st of ch, ch 15, sl st in same st, (ch 12, sl st in same st) twice. Fasten off. Sew band across neck with bow at top. BLANKET—Working across top of Body, join Red to 3d dc to left of tail, ch 3, dc in next 13 sts. (Ch 3, turn, dc in each st across to end ch-3) 3 times. Fasten off. Turn down over Body and tack. Sew Scottie on center of pocket band.

Steam and press bib dry on back thru a cloth. Cut two 12" pieces of ribbon and tack one to each top corner of neck.
