Starting at narrow end, ch 5. 1st row: Holding back the last loop of each tr on hook make 2 tr in 5th ch from hook, thread over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (a 3-tr cluster made). 2nd row: Ch 4, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook make 2 tr in fastening ch of last cluster, complete cluster as before. Repeat 2nd row for length desired, having a multiple of 5 plus 4 tr groups. Ch 3, turn and work scallops along long edge as follows: 1st row: * (In the tip of next cluster make tr, ch 4 and tr) 4 times; ch 4, sk tip of next cluster. Repeat from * across, Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: * (Tr in next tr, ch 4, tr in next tr) 3 times; (ch 4, sc in next tr) twice; ch 4. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 4, sc in last tr. Ch 7, turn. 3rd row: * In next tr make tr, ch 4 and tr, tr in next tr, ch 4, make a 3-tr cluster in each of the next 2 tr, ch 4, tr in next tr, in next tr make tr, ch 4 and tr, ch 4. Repeat from * across. Ch 4, turn. 4th row: * Tr in next tr, ch 4, tr in next tr, in tip of next cluster make a 3-tr cluster, ch 4 and a 3-tr cluster, tr in next tr, ch 4, tr in next tr, (ch 4, sc in next tr) twice; ch 4. Repeat from * across, ending with tr in last tr.
