RIBBON: 2-yards of narrow ribbon

   DRESS: Starting at the neck edge, make a chain of 26 sts, turn; 1 d c in 4th st from hook, 2 d c in each remaining chain. (Note - the turning ch-3 will count as a st). Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 1 d c in each st across row (46 sts). Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: 1 d c in next 8 sts, ch 3, skip 5 sts, 1 d c in next 18 sts, ch 3, skip 5 sts, 1 d c in last 9 sts. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: 1 d c in next 8 sts, 3 d c over ch-3 space, 1 d c in next 18 sts, 3 d c over ch-3 space, 1 d c in last 9 sts (42 sts). Ch 6, turn. 5th row: skip 1 st, * 1 d c in next st, ch 2, skip 2 sts; repeat from * across row (14 spaces). Ch 6, turn. 6th row: * 1 d c in next d c, ch 2, repeat * across row, ending with ch 2, 1 d c in 4th st of turning chain. Ch 4, turn. Starting of skirt: * Make 5 tr c over ch-2 space, 1 tr c in next d c, repeat from * across, ending with 1 tr c in 4th st of turning chain. Join this and every round. Ch 4. 2nd rd: 1 tr c in each st around. Ch 4. 3rd rd: 2 tr c in each st around. Ch 4. 4th rd: 1 tr c in each st around. Ch 6. 5th rd: * skip 1 st, 1 d c in next st, ch 2, repeat from * around. Join with a slip st in 4th st of ch-6. Ch 4. 6th rd: * 2 tr c over ch-2 space, 1 tr c in next d c; repeat from * around. Join. Fasten off.

   HAT: Chain 6, join to form a ring. Ch 3, make 17 d c into ring. Join this and every round. Ch 3. 2nd rd: * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * around. Ch 3. 3rd-4th-5th rds: * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next 2 sts; repeat from * around. Ch 6. Last rd: * skip 1 st, 1 s c in next st, ch 2, repeat from * around. Fasten off.

   PANTIES: Chain 38 sts, turn; 1 d c in 4th st from hook, 1 d c: in each remaining chain st (36 sts). Ch 3, turn. 2nd to 5th rows included: 1 d c in each st across row. Break thread leaving 12 inches. Sew panties onto doll. Through center of crotch catch the two pieces together.

   FINISHING: Run the narrow ribbon through the row of spaces on hat and dress as in illustration.
