Circular Bib Collar and Cuff Set Pattern #42

Materials: Clark's O.N.T. Knitting & Crochet Cotton, 1 ball. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 3.

   To begin, ch 124. This should fit the neck measure­ment. If not, add or decrease as desired. 1st row: 1 d c in 4th ch from hook, 1 d c in each st of foundation ch. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: * Skip 2 d c, 1 s c in next d c, ch 5, and repeat from * to end of row. Ch 4, turn. 3rd row: 1 s c in 1st ch-5 loop, * ch 5, 1 s c in next loop, and repeat from * to end of row. Ch 4, turn. 4th row: 4 d c in 1st ch-5 loop, * 1 d c in next s c, 4 d c in next ch-5 loop, and repeat from * to end of row, making 2 d c in last loop. Ch 5, turn. 5th row: * Skip 3 d c, 1 s c in next, ch 5, and repeat from * to end of row. Ch 4, turn. 6th row: 1 s c in 1st ch-5 loop, * ch 5, 1 s c in next loop, and repeat from * to end of row. Ch 4, turn. 7th row: 4 d c in 1st ch-5 loop, * 1 d c in next s c, 4 d c in next ch-5 loop, and repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 d c in last ch-4 loop. Ch 5, turn. ** 8th row: Same as 5th row. 9th row: Same as 6th row. 10th row: 3 d c in 1st ch-5 loop, * 1 d c in next s c, 3 d c in next ch-5 loop, and repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 d c in last ch-4 loop. Ch 5, turn. 11th, 12th and 13th rows: Repeat from ** once more and fasten off thread.
   Fold collar in half, attach thread to the 26th d c from center front, and work towards center as for 5th row, until 12 ch-5 loops are made. Ch 5, turn, and work pattern as for 6th and 7th rows, but on these 12 loops, until 9 rows are made. Fasten off thread. Make a few ch-5 loops on right side of center back opening and tiny buttons on left side for fastening.

CUFFS. Ch 48, and work as for collar for 13 rows.
    Lay flat on the pressing board, and press in shape with a warm iron and damp cloth.
