Materials:
Chadwick's Red Heart Germantown Zephyr, 12 balls (1 oz. balls). If 30-yd. balls are used, buy three times the amount specified.
A wooden crochet hook No. 11.
2½ yds. of folded blanket binding.

When completed, blanket measures about 36 x 50 inches.

Starting at one end, make a loose chain about 42 inches long. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook, s c in each ch across for 38 inches. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: S c in 1st s c, * s c in next s c picking up only back loop, s c in next s c picking up only front loop. Repeat from * across, ending row with s c in back loop of s c before last s c, then s c in both loops of last s c. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: S c in 1st s c, * s c in next s c picking up only back loop, s c in next s c picking up only front loop. Repeat from * across, ending row with s c in back loop, s c in both loops of last s c. Ch 1, turn. Repeat the last 2 rows alternately until piece measures 50 inches long. Then make a row of s c all around edges. Break off. Bind short ends with blanket binding, with 2 rows of machine stitching.
