Starting at tip, ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 1, 8 s c in ring. 2nd rnd: * In next s c make a 3 d c cluster (to make a cluster, make 3 d c in same st, always holding the last loop of each d c on hook; then yarn over hook and take off all remaining loops), ch 2. Repeat from * around (8 clusters). 3rd rnd: Ch 2, s c in tip of next cluster; then, in each ch-2, make: 1 s c, 1 d c, 2 tr, 1 d c, 1 s c, ending row with 1 d c. 4th rnd: Hereafter begin each row with sl st to within 1st tr. * S c in each of next 2 tr, d c in next d c, tr in each of next 2 s c, d c in next d c. Repeat from * around, ending row with 1 d c, 2 s c.
