A Cuddly Bunny that's shaped just right to tuck under a child's arm, while at play or napping. The Bunny is to be crocheted in loop stitch, just as in the rug pattern.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Lily Sugar 'N Cream Yarn Art. 930.
  or
  Lily Cotton Yarn Art. 600
4 balls or skeins of White (or Pink & Blue) will make the Bunny.
A yard or so of contrasting color for the eyes.
  Crochet hook size 1.
Crochet in loop stitch. The instructions below show how to start, and follow the chart for the Bunny.
All LS (loop stitch) rows are shown by [—] and are worked from left side of chart. All SC rows are shown by [ . ] and are worked from right of chart.
Starts with back leg—Bottom of chart.
Ch 4—3 sc on ch. At beginning of each row ch 1, turn. ROW 1 OF CHART—LS in 3 sts. ROW 2—2 sc in last st,—an inc. of 1 st as shown by chart—sc in next 2. ROW 3—2 LS in last sc, LS in 3 sc. ROW 4—2 sc in last st, sc in next 4 sts. ROW 5—LS in each 6 sts across. Continue following chart to end of row 12. ROW 13—Sk st, LS in 5, then to add the extra 3 LS as on chart, wind yarn on finger for loop, insert hook in same st with last, * (work LS through 4th step, YO, draw through 1 loop on hook, YO, and through 2 loops on hook, yarn on finger for a loop, * insert hook in st at base of last st, then repeat from * to *) twice. ROW 14—Ch 22, turn, 21 sc in ch, sc in 7 LS. Continue with chart through row 40. ROW 41—24 LS, add 12 LS, (as in row 13) to start head. Follow chart through row 47, then finish head and fasten off.
FRONT FOOT—Join yarn on row 47 with sc in 6th stitch from first row of head, sc in next 6 and follow chart to complete. Fasten off. Join again in second st at top of tail (at right of chart) and work 5 rows to complete. Fasten off.
A second side for Bunny is made by starting all rows from opposite sides of chart. These two pieces are to be placed (with inset between) so that head, ears, tail, etc., match, with wrong side together.
INSET—This inset is to be stitched between the two side pieces, all around edge to give thickness to body for stuffing. The section for tail is left without loops, to sew on fluff fringe for fuzzy tail.
Ch 10, 9 sc on ch, (ch 1, turn, 9 sc across) 21 times for tail. Then alternate LS and sc rows to almost the required length. Do not cut thread. Sew inset between sides, along edge, starting at tail, with starting end of insert, so that rows may be added, to make exact length. Sew ends of inset together. Do not draw or stretch inset when stitching. Be sure all corners and curves of both sides match. Leave opening to stuff;—then stuff and close.
EYES—With contrasting color, Ch 2, 6 sc in first st. Fasten off. Make 2. Sew one in place on each side of head.

Make 12 Fluff Fringe (24 strand) Tufts and sew in place to cover plain sc of tail.
