CHAIR BACK … Starting at long side, ch 172 to measure 17½ inches. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, * ch 6, skip 4 ch, 4 tr in next ch, (skip 3 ch, 4 tr in next ch) twice; ch 6, skip 4 ch, sc in next 13 ch. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 6, skip 4 ch, sc in next 2 ch. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: * Skip next 2 ch, sc in next 4 ch, sc in next 12 tr, sc in next 4 ch, ch 9, skip 6 sc, tr tr in next sc, ch 9. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in next 4 ch, tr in last sc. Ch 4, turn. 3rd row: Tr in next sc, ch 5, skip next 3 sc, * holding back on hook the last loop of each tr make tr in next 4 sc, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); (ch 3, make a cluster over next 4 sc) twice; ch 5, skip next 3 ch, sc in next 6 ch, sc in next tr tr, sc in next 6 ch, ch 5, skip next 4 sc.
