MATERIALS: J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Pearl Cotton, Size 5, 2 balls of Ecru. Scraps of Red and Green for embroidery ... Steel Crochet Hook No. 7 ... A bone ring.

Starting at one corner, ch 2. 1st row: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: 2 sc in first sc (1 sc increased), sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc (another sc increased). Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Inc 1 sc, sc in each sc across to within last sc, inc 1 sc. Ch 1, turn. Repeat 3rd row until there are 79 sts. Next row: Work off next 2 sc as 1 sc (1 sc decreased), sc in each sc across to within last 2 sc, work off last 2 sc as 1 sc (another sc decreased). Ch 1, turn. Repeat this last row until 3 sts remain. Work off these 3 sts as 1 st. Break off. Embroider as desired. Sew on bone ring. For Padding, see patternbook page.
