Striped Envelope Purse Pattern #260

Materials: J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 1 ball color 106 Sport Green and 1 ball of White. 1 5-inch Talon Hookless Fastener and 1-inch bone ring. Milward’s steel crochet hook No. 5 or 6.

With Sport Green, ch 69. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook and s c in each st of foundation ch. Ch 3 (to count as d c). Work rest of bag in rnds. 2nd rnd: D c in each st along other side of foundation ch and into back loop of s c row. Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3 of 1st row. Ch 3 (to count as d c). 3rd rnd: D c into back loop of each d c of previous rnd. Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3, ch 3. 4th rnd: Same as 3rd. 5th rnd: Attach White and work rnd of s c. This rnd completes the pattern. Continue working 3 rnds of d c with Sport Green, and 1 rnd of s c with white until there are 4 White stripes. Then work 3 more rnds of Sport Green and break off.

Using thread double cover bone ring with rnd of s c’s. Join to 1st s c with sl st and ch 12 and attach to one corner at top of bag. Line bag and sew in Talon Hookless Fastener.
