GAUGE: Each motif measures about 5¼ inches in diameter after blocking. For a tablecloth about 53 x 73 inches, make 10 x 14 motifs.

GAUGE: Each motif measures about 4¼ inches in diameter after blocking. For a tablecloth about 55 x 72 inches, make 13 x 17 motifs.

FIRST MOTIF … Starting at center, ch 12. Join with sl st to form a ring. 1st rnd: Ch 4 (to count as 1 tr), 35 tr in ring. Join with sl st to 4th st of ch-4 first made. 2nd rnd: Ch 4, tr in same place as sl st, * tr in next tr, 2 tr in next tr, ch 1, 2 tr in next tr. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-1 with sl st in 4th st of ch-4 (12 tr-groups). 3rd rnd: Ch 4, tr in next 4 tr, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, thread over and draw through all loops at once, ch 1 to fasten (a cluster made). * Ch 5, tr in next 5 tr, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr and finish cluster. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-5 to tip of 1st cluster (12 clusters). 4th rnd: Ch 6, tr in same place as sl st, * ch 3, skip 2 ch, tr in next ch, ch 3; in tip of next cluster make tr, ch 2 and tr.
