INSERTION … Starting at narrow edge, ch 26. 1st row: Dc in 10th ch from hook, (ch 3, skip 3 ch, dc in next ch) 4 times. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: Skip first dc, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 2 tr in next dc, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 3, in same dc make dc, ch 3 and 2-tr cluster; dc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, in next dc make cluster, ch 3, dc, ch 3 and cluster; skip 3 ch of turning chain, dc in next ch. Ch 6, turn. 3rd row: Skip first dc, (dc in next dc, ch 3) 4 times; dc in top of turning chain. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows alternately until piece reaches across towel, ending with 3rd row. Break off. Now, working across long side, attach thread to base of first dc on first row, ch 5, * dc at base of next dc, ch 2. Repeat from * across. Break off. Work across opposite side the same way.
   Press insertion and sew neatly to towel.
