MATERIALS: CLARK'S O.N.T. COTTON RUG YARN, 1 ball each of a light and dark color.

Clark's O.N.T. Rug and Afghan Hook, size G.

This amount is sufficient for 5 pot holders, if colors are reversed.

Starting at center, with light color ch 2. 1st rnd: 8 s c in 2nd ch from hook. 2nd rnd: * S c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st into 1st s c made, and fasten off (12 s c). 3rd rnd: Attach dark color in same place as sl st, ch 3, d c in same place, 2 d c in each st around. Join to top of d c first made and fasten off. 4th rnd: Attach light color and work 2 s c in each st around. 5th rnd: S c in each st around. Sl st in next st, join and fasten off. 6th rnd: Attach dark color, ch 3; then work d c in each st around. Join, and fasten off. 7th rnd: Attach light color, * s c in next 3 s c, 2 s c in next s c. Repeat from * around. 8th rnd: S c in each s c around, sl st in next st, ch 15, sl st in next st, and fasten off.
