Materials: Clark's O.N.T. Knit-Crochet, color 9 Yellow, 1 ball. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 3 or 4.

1st rnd: Ch 7, join in a ring. Ch 5, make 7 d c in ring, with ch-2 between. Join last ch-2 to 3rd st of starting ch. 8 sps in round. 2nd rnd: Ch 3, 4 d c in 1st sp, 5 d c in each of the other sps. 3rd rnd: Ch 3, skip 1st d c, 1 d c each in next 7dc, * ch 5, 8dc over 8 d c. Repeat from * and join. 4th rnd: Sl st to 2nd d c, ch 3, 1 d c each in next 5 d c, * ch 5, s c in loop, ch 5, 6 d c over 8 d c skipping 1 d c at each end, and repeat from *. Make 2 rnds more in each rnd making 2 d c less in each group and 1 extra ch loop between groups.

7th rnd: Make 1 d c at each point, 5 loops between points (for the 1st point ch 8, first 3 ch counting as d c). 8th rnd: Ch 3 (to count as d c), 2 d c over next loop, ch 3, 3 d c over same loop. * 3 d c over next loop, ch 3, 3 d c over same loop. Repeat from * around and fasten off.
