How to Stuff Animals
The stuffing of the animals is most important. Leave the openings for stuffing at either the center top or bottom of piece whenever possible. Stuff very firmly with cotton batting, using a steel knitting needle to push stuffing into place. All pieces will look much more lifelike if stuffed firmly. Mold animal, holding it on the outside with one hand while stuffing from the inside.![]()

Mark beginning of 1st row for front; opposite end is tail end. 2nd row: 2 sc in 1st sc (1 sc increased), sc in each sc across, 3 sc in last sc (2 sc increased). Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: 3 sc in 1st sc, sc in each sc across, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn. 4th to 10th rows incl: 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in each sc across, 2 sc in last sc.
