MATERIALS REQUIRED
American Thread Company "Dawn" Knitting Worsted.
2—2 oz. Skeins 1 Bone Crochet Hook #3.

COAT

BACK. Ch 33 and work 32 s c on chain.
2nd Row. 1 row of Star st. Repeat these 2 rows 5 times, or until length desired.
13th Row. Work s c across row in loops only.
14th Row. Slip back 1 s c for armhole working into back loops only. 1 s c in each s c dropping last s c.
15th Row. 1 s c in each s c picking up both loops.
16th Row. 1 s c in each s c working into back loops only.
17th & 19th Rows. Same as 15th row.
18th Row. Same as 16th row.
20th Row. 1 s c in each of first 4 s c. Slip st across next 6 s c. 1 s c in each of last 4 s c working into back loops only. Break yarn.
RIGHT FRONT. Ch 17, work 16 s c in chain, work first 13 rows same as back.
14th Row. Work s c across row dropping last s c for armhole working into back loop only.
15th Row. 1 s c in each s c picking up both loops.
16th Row. 1 s c in each s c working into back loop only.
17th & 19th Rows. Same as 15th row.
18th Row. Same as 16th row.
20th Row. Slip back 3 s c for neck. 1 s c in each of last 4 s c. Break yarn.
Work Left Front same for 13 rows.
14th Row. Decrease 1st at beginning of row for underarm, work same to 20th row then s c in first 4 s c and slip st across last 3 s c. Break yarn.
Sew shoulder and underarm seams, work 1 row of s c around neck. At both Fronts work a row of star st.
Around lower edge of coat work 1 row of s c.
SLEEVE. Around armhole work 26 s c.
2nd Row. Star st. Repeat these two rows 3 times.
9th Row. S c in loops only. Next two rows s c in s c.
Work other sleeve the same.

HAT

Ch 2, 8 s c in first chain.
2nd Row. 2 s c in each s c.
3rd & 4th Rows. 2 s c in every other s c.
Then work 1 row pattern, 1 row s c, 1 row pattern, 3 rows s c. Next row 2 s c in every 3rd s c, turn wrong side of hat towards you, work 2 rows of s c and finish with pattern row.
