Materials Suggested – AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" TATTING COTTON or "STAR" or "GEM" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON Sizes 50 to 70
Rose. Ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 6, d c in ring, * ch 3, d c in ring, repeat from * 5 times, ch 3, join in 3rd st of ch 6.
2nd Row. Ch 1 and work 1 s c, 3 d c, 1 s c in each mesh.
3rd Row. Sl st into back of d c of previous row, * ch 6, sl st over next d c of previous row, repeat from * 7 times.
4th Row. Ch 1, 1 s c, 7 d c, 1 s c in each loop.
Work a 2nd rose joining in the last row as follows: 1 s c, 4 d c, join to center st of petal of 1st rose with a sl st, 3 d c, 1 s c in same loop, 1 s c, 4 d c in next loop, join to center st of next petal of 1st rose, 3 d c, 1 s c in same loop and finish rose same as 1st rose.
Join all roses in same manner leaving 2 free petals on each side.
Heading. Join thread in center of 1st free petal, * ch 7, s c in center of next petal, ch 7, s c in joining of petals, ch 7, s c in center of 1st petal in next flower and repeat from * across row, ch 9, turn.
2nd Row. S c in loop * ch 7, s c in next loop, repeat from * across row, ch 9 and work 4 more rows of loops.
6th Row. 7 s c in each loop.
