There are slight variations to materials and instructions between these two versions of the same pattern in different publications. Two versions are below.

MOTIF: CENTER SECTION—With White ch 6, join to form a ring, ch 1 and work 12 s c in ring, join.
2nd Row—Ch 3 (counts as part of 1st popcorn st), 3 d c in same space, slip loop off hook, insert in 3rd st of ch, pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten st, * ch 2, skip 1 s c, popcorn st in next s c (popcorn st: 4 d c in same space, drop loop from hook, insert in 1st d c, pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten st), repeat from * 4 times, ch 2, join to 1st popcorn st, break yarn.
3rd Row—Attach Green in any popcorn st, * ch 5, s c in next loop, ch 5, sl st in next popcorn st, repeat from * all around, break yarn.
4th Row—Over a mason jar ring, with White work 4 s c, 1 s c over ring and any loop of center section, * 4 s c over ring, 1 s c over ring and next loop of center section, repeat from * 10 times, join, break yarn.
5th Row—Attach Green and work 1 s c in each s c, join, break yarn.
2nd MOTIF: Work 1st 4 rows same as 1st motif.
Next Row—Attach Green in any s c, s c in same space, * drop loop from hook, insert hook in back loop of 1 s c of 1st motif, pull loop through, s c in next s c of 2nd motif, repeat from * 3 times, work 1 s c in each remaining s c, join, break yarn.
Join 3rd motif to 2nd motif in same manner, leaving 16 s c free for inner edge of 2nd motif. Work 2 more motifs joining in same manner. Work 6th motif in same manner but joining 4 sts on opposite side to 1st motif leaving 16 s c free on inner edge of each motif. Work a center motif in same manner joining in last row as follows: attach Green in any s c, s c in same space, join next 4 sts to 4 center sts at inner edge of any motif, * 1 s c in each of the next 6 s c on center motif, join next 4 sts of center motif to 4 center sts on next motif, repeat from * 4 times, 1 s c in each of the next 6 s c of center motif, join, break yarn.

6th Round—Attach Green and work 1 s c in each s c, join, cut thread.
2nd MOTIF—Work 1st 5 rounds same as 1st motif.
Next Round—Attach Green in any s c, s c in same space, * drop loop from hook, insert hook in back loop of 1 s c of 1st motif, pull loop through, s c in next s c of 2nd motif, repeat from * 5 times, work 1 s c in each remaining s c, join, cut thread.
Join 3rd motif to 2nd motif in same manner, leaving 22 s c free for inner edge of 2nd motif. Work 2 more motifs joining in same manner. Work 6th motif in same manner but joining 6 sts on opposite side to 1st motif leaving 22 s c free on inner edge of each motif.
