1 Skein Red.
1 Skein White will make 3 potholders.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 0.

With White, ch 28, s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each of the next 8 sts of ch, attach Red (when changing Color always complete last half of st with next Color) and working over White with Red, work 1 s c in each of the next 9 sts of ch, drop Red and with White, work 1 s c in each of the next 9 sts of ch, ch 1 to turn each row.
2nd Row—With White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over White with Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, drop Red, pick up White and work 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c. Repeat 2nd row 5 times.
8th Row—With White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over White with Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over Red with White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c.
9th Row—Working over White with Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over Red with White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, drop White, with Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c.
10th Row—With Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over Red with White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, drop White, with Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c. Repeat 10th row 5 times.
16th Row—With Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over Red with White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over White with Red, work 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c.
17th Row—Working over Red with White, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, working over White with Red, 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, drop Red, with White 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c. Repeat 2nd row 7 times, break yarn.
EDGE: Attach Red in corner, * ch 2, 2 d c in same space, skip the length of a d c, s c in next st, repeat from * all around, break yarn.
