3-80 yd. Skeins each of Beige, Black, Red, Rust.
2-80 yd. Skeins Green. Bone Crochet Hook No. 6.
Each motif measures about 5½ inches. Complete Rug measures about 34½ x 25 inches.
With Beige, ch 11, 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining st of ch, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row. 1 s c in each s c, ch 1, turn.
Repeat the 2nd row 8 times, break yarn.
Attach Rust and work 1 s c in each of the next 9 s c, 3 s c in corner, then work 9 s c down next side, ch 1, turn.
Next Row. Working on the 2 sides only 1 s c in each s c working 3 s c in center st at corner, break yarn.
Attach Green and work 2 more rows same as last row having 1 more st on each of the 2 sides in each row, break yarn. Attach Red and work 2 rows same as last row, break yarn.
Next Row. With Black, work a row of s c all around working 14 s c on each side and 3 s c in each corner, break yarn. Work 23 more squares in same manner. Sew 4 squares together picking up the back loop only having all light corners to form center as illustrated forming a large square. Sew remainder of squares together in same manner, then sew 2 large squares together. Sew remaining large squares in same manner having 2 squares on short sides and 3 squares on long side.
Border. Attach Black and work 1 s c in each s c all around working 3 s c in each corner.
2nd and 3rd Rows. 1 s c in each s c working 3 s c in center st at each corner. Work remainder of rows same as last row working 2 rows Red, 2 rows Green, 4 rows Rust, break yarn.
