J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Pearl Cotton, Size 5: 3 balls each of No. 48 Hunter's Green and No. 43 Dk. Yellow and 4 balls of No. 1 White for Large Platter Mat, 2 balls each of No. 48 Hunter's Green and No. 43 Dk. Yellow and 1 ball of No. 1 White for Small Platter Mat, 1 ball of each color for each Small Mat, or
J. & P. Coats "Knit-Cro-Sheen": 1 ball each of No. 48 Hunter's Green, No. 43 Dk. Yellow and No. 1 White for each Mat.
Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
65 bone rings ¾ inch in diameter for Large Platter Mat, 39 for Small Platter Mat, and 19 for each Small Mat.

LARGE PLATTER MATGreen Flower (Make 40) ... 1st rnd: Starting at center with Dk. Yellow and working over bone ring, make 36 sc in ring. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 5, skip 5 sc on ring, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join and break off. 3rd rnd: Attach Hunter's Green to any loop, in each loop around make sc, half dc, dc, 3 tr, dc, half dc, and sc. Join and break off.
WHITE FLOWER (Make 25)
Work as for Green Flower, using White in place of Hunter's Green for petals.
Sew flowers together, arranging colors as in illustration.
SMALL PLATTER MAT … Make 25 Green and 14 White Flowers.
SMALL MAT … Make 13 Green and 6 White Flowers.
Make another Small Mat, reversing colors of Green and White Flowers.
