DRESS—Skirt: With White ch 39, s c in 2nd st from hook, I s c in each remaining st of ch, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row—1 s c in each s c, ch 4, turn.
3rd Row—1 d c, ch 1, I d c in next s c, * ch 1, 1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c in next s c, repeat from * across row, ending row with ch 1, d c in last s c, ch 4, turn.
4th Row—1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c in next d c, * ch 1, 1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c in next d c, repeat from * across row, ending row with ch 1, 1 d c in 3rd st of ch, ch 3, turn.
5th Row—* 1 d c, ch 2, 1 d c in next d c, repeat from * across row, ending row with 1 d c in 3rd st of ch, join to 3rd st of ch at beginning of row.
6th Round—Ch 5, d c in same space, * 1 d c, ch 2, 1 d c in next ch 2 loop, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch.
7th and 8th Rounds—Sl st into loop, ch 5, d c in same space, * 1 d c, ch 2, 1 d c in next ch 2 loop, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch, cut thread.
Attach Buttercup in ch 2 loop, s c in same space, ch 3, s c in same space, 1 s c in each of the next 2 d c, * 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c in next loop, 1 s c in each of the next 2 d c, repeat from * all around, join, cut thread.
BODICE—Attach White in 1st st of starting ch, ch 3 and work 1 d c in each st, ch 3, turn.
2nd Row—1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, 2 d c in next d c, * 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * across row, ending row with 1 d c in each of the next 3 sts, ch 3, turn.
3rd Row—1 d c in each st, ch 3, turn.
4th Row—1 d c in each of the next 6 d c, ch 10, skip 5 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 19 d c, ch 10, skip 5 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 7 sts, cut thread.
Attach Buttercup in 1st row of bodice on left hand side and work a row of s c up back opening of bodice, then working rather tightly, work 1 s c in each d c and each st of ch around neck, working in s c down opposite side of bodice, cut thread.
PANTIES—With Buttercup, ch 38 rather loosely to fit around waist line, d c in 4th st from hook, 1 d c in each remaining st of ch, ch 3, turn.
2nd Row—1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, 2 d c in next d c, * 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * across row, ending with 1 d c in each of the last 2 sts, join in 3rd st of ch.
3rd and 4th Rows—Ch 3 and work 1 d c in each st, join.
5th Row—* Ch 3, s c in next d c, repeat from * 8 times, ch 3, skip 21 d c, s c in next d c, * ch 3, s c in next d c, repeat from 10 times, join, cut thread.
Attach thread in next d c at crotch, * ch 3, s c in next d c, repeat from * 19 times, cut thread.
Attach thread at waistline and work 1 s c in each st of starting ch, then work a row of s c around side opening, cut thread.
Place on doll and tie with ribbon at side. Lace dress up the back with ribbon.
HEAD PIECE—Cut a 4 inch length of covered spool wire. Twist together for about 1 inch so it will not separate. With Buttercup work a row of s c around entire wire (about 54 s c) .
2nd Row—* Ch 3, skip 2 s c, cluster st in next s c (cluster st: 3 d c in same space leaving last loop of each d c on hook, thread over and pull through all loops at one time), ch 3, sl st in top of cluster st for picot, ch 3, skip 2 s c, sl st in next s c, repeat from * all around, cut thread. Attach thread on opposite side of wire and work the 2nd row in same manner, cut thread. Sew tiny feather to head piece as illus­trated.
