Starting at center, ch 10, join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 4 (to count as 1 tr), make 31 tr in ring. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: * Ch 5, skip 1 tr, s c in next. Repeat from * around (16 loops). Sl st in 3 sts of first loop. 3rd rnd: * Ch 13, s c in next loop. Repeat from * around. 4th rnd: * 7 s c in next loop, ch 3, 1 p (to make a p, ch 4 and sl st in 4th ch from hook), ch 3, 1 p, ch 1, 1 p, ch 3, 1 p, ch 3, 7 s c in same loop. Repeat from * around. Break thread. 5th rnd: Attach thread to ch-1 between 2 p's at top of loop of previous rnd. Ch 12 (to count as 1 d c and ch-9), * d c in ch-1 of next loop, ch 9. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-9 with sl st to 3rd ch of first ch-12. 6th rnd: Ch 6 (to count as 1 d c and ch-3), 1 d c in same place as sl st, * ch 3, d c in 5th st of ch-9, ch 3, d c in same place, ch 3, d c in next d c, ch 3, d c in same place. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-3 to 4th st of ch-7. 7th rnd: Ch 4 (to count as 1 tr), tr in ch-3, ch 3, 2 tr in same ch-3, * ch 3, skip ch-3, in next ch-3 make: 2 tr, ch 3, 2 tr. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-3 to 4th st of ch-4 first made. Sl st in next 2 sts to bring work to ch-3. 8th rnd: Ch 3, in same ch-3 sp make: * 2 tr, 1 d tr, 2 tr, 1 d c, ch 3; 1 s c in next ch-3, ch 3, 1 d c in next ch-3. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-3 with sl st to 1st ch-3 made. Sl st to d tr. 9th rnd: Ch 15 (to count as 1 d tr and ch-9), * d tr in d tr of next scallop, ch 9. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-9 to 6th st of 1st ch-16. 10th rnd: 11 s c in each ch-9. 11th rnd: * Ch 3, 1 p, ch 5, 1 p, ch 3, s c in 5th s c of 11-s c loop, ch 3, 1 p, ch 5, 1 p, ch 3, 1 s c in d tr. Repeat from * around (66 loops). Join last ch-3 to 1st st of 1st ch-3. Sl st across 5 sts (to 3rd ch between 2 p's). 12th to 18th rnds incl: Same as 11th rnd, but putting s c's in ch-5's between the 2 p's of each loop, ending as before. 19th rnd: * Ch 6, a 3 d tr-cluster in ch-5 between 2 p's of next loop (for a 3 d tr-cluster, make 3 d tr, holding back on hook the last loop of each d tr—4 loops on hook—then work off loops on hook 2 at a time), ch 5, a 3 d tr-cluster in same place, ch 5, a 3 d tr-cluster in same place, ch 6, s c in ch-5 between 2 p's of next loop, ch 3, 1 p, ch 5, 1 p, ch 3, s c in ch-5 between 2 p's of next loop. Repeat from * around, ending with 1 s c in sl st first made. Sl st in next 8 sts to bring work to 1st st of ch-5 after cluster of next group. 20th rnd: Ch 6, complete a cluster in same ch-5, * ch 5, a cluster in same ch-5, ch 5, a cluster in next ch-5, ch 5, a cluster in same place, ch 9, s c in ch-5 between 2 p's of next loop, ch 9, a cluster in ch-5 after 1st cluster of next group. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-9 to 6th st of 1st ch-6. Sl st 2 sts. 21st rnd: Ch 6, complete a cluster in same ch-5, ** ch 2, 1 p, ch 2, a cluster in same place, * ch 2, 1 p, ch 2, a cluster in next ch-5, ch 2, 1 p, ch 2, a cluster in same place. Repeat from * once more. Ch 5, then work as follows: Thread over 3 times, insert hook in 6th st of next ch-9, pull loop through, thread over, and work off 2 loops on hook (4 loops left on hook), thread over, insert hook in 4th st of next ch-9, pull loop through, then take off 2 loops at a time 5 times, ch 5, make a cluster in next ch-5 after 1st cluster of next group. Repeat from ** around, joining last ch-5 to 1st cluster made. Break off.
