REQUIREMENTS:
THREAD: 175-yards Bedspread Cotton
50-yards contrasting color
CROCHET HOOK: 1-steel No. 7

   PANTIES: Front piece, chain 16 sts, turn; 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining chain st. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Make 1 s c in each st. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Increase 1 s c at the beginning and end of row. Repeat these last 2 rows until 7 rows have been completed (21 s c). Work 4 rows even. Break thread. Make another piece the same way. Lacing: With contrasting color make 2 chains, each 75 sts. Lace the 2 pieces together at the sides. Should the waist line be a little large, run a piece of thread thru on the first row to fit.

   BRA: Starting at the back, chain 5 sts, turn; 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining ch (4 sts). Ch 1, turn. Work in s c until the piece measures an inch. * Now increase 1 st at the beginning of the row, 1 s c in each st to end of row. Ch 1, turn. Next row: 1 s c in each st across row. Repeat from * until there are 7 sts. Work one inch even after last increase. Decrease 1 st at the same side of increases every other row until 4 sts remain. Then work one inch even. Working along top of bra, make 1 s c in each row. Break thread. Halter tie: With the contrasting color make a chain of 50 sts.

   CAPE: Starting at neck edge, chain 34 sts, turn; 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining chain. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Working in s c increase 1 st in every 5th st across row. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: 1 s c in each st across row. Repeat these last two rows once more. Ch 1, turn. 6th row: Pull up a loop in each of the first 2 sts, work off as 1 st (a decrease), 1 s c in each st to within the last 2 sts, make a decrease as before. Ch 1, turn. 7th-8th-9th rows: Repeat 7th row. Break thread. With the contrasting color, make a chain st of 20 sts (this is for a tie); now work along the decrease side of cape as follows: * 1 s c in next st, ch 3, repeat from * all around cape to other corner of starting chain, make a chain of 20 sts for 2nd tie. Break thread.

   SKIRT: Starting at the waist line, using the main color, work as the first 5 rows on cape. 6th row: Increase 1 st in every 4th st across row. Join this round. Now work every round in s c, stitch for stitch until the piece measures 2 inches in all. Break thread. Tie in contrasting color and make 1 row of trim as on the cape, omitting the first and last chain 20. Beading at waist line: Tie main color at back of skirt waist, ch 4, * skip 1 st, 1 d c in next st, ch 2, repeat from * around top of skirt. Break thread. Tie: With the contrasting color make a chain of 100.
