GAUGE: 4 sps make 1 inch; 4 rows make 1 inch.
RUNNER
Starting at bottom of chart make a chain about 20 inches long (16 ch sts to 1 inch). 1st row: Tr in 5th ch from hook and in next 3 ch (5 tr counting the turning ch), ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch (1 sp made). Make 3 more sps, then work tr in next 8 ch (2 bls made). Now work a shadow space as follows: (Ch 1, skip 1 ch, tr in next ch) twice. Work 1 more shadow space and tr in next 8 ch. Make (4 sps, 2 bls, 2 shadow sps, 2 bls) twice; 2 sps, then (2 bls, 2 shadow sps, 2 bls, 4 sps) 3 times. Tr in next 4 ch, ch 7, turn. Cut off remaining chain. 2nd row: Skip 3 tr, tr in next tr (starting sp made over bl), make 3 tr in next sp, tr in next tr (bl made over sp). Make 2 more bls, ch 3, tr in next tr (sp made over sp), then ch 3, skip 3 tr, work tr in next tr (sp made over bl), tr in next 4 tr (bl made over bl), then work (tr in next ch, tr in next tr) twice; (bl made over shadow sp). Make 2 more bls, then (2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps, 4 bls) twice. Make 4 sps, then (4 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps) twice; 4 bls, 2 sps, 3 bls, and 1 sp. Ch 7, turn. 3rd row: Tr in next 5 tr, (ch 1, skip 1 tr, tr in next tr) twice; (shadow space made over bl). Make 2 more bls, (2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps, 4 bls) twice; (2 sps, 2 bls) 3 times; (2 sps, 4 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls) twice; 2 sps, 2 bls, 1 shadow sp, 1 bl, 1 sp. Ch 7, turn.
Starting with 4th row, follow chart to top. You have now worked 3 rows of 2nd spray. Now reverse chart, and starting with row marked with X, work back to the beginning. Fasten off.
CHAIR SET
CHAIR BACK … Starting at bottom of chart, make a chain about 22 inches long (16 ch sts to 1 inch). 1st row: Tr in 5th ch from hook and in next 3 ch (5 tr counting the turning ch), ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch (1 sp made). Make 3 more sps, then work tr in next 8 ch (2 bls made). Now work a shadow space as follows: (Ch 1, skip 1 ch, tr in next ch) twice. Work 1 more shadow space and tr in next 8 ch. Make (4 sps, 2 bls, 2 shadow sps, 2 bls) 5 times; then make 4 sps and tr in next 4 ch. Ch 7, turn. Cut off remaining chain. Starting with 2nd row, work as for runner, but follow chart for Chair Back to top. Fasten off.
ARM PIECES … Starting at the bottom of chart, make a chain about 10 inches long (16 ch sts to 1 inch). 1st row: Tr in 5th ch from hook and in next 3 ch (5 tr counting the turning ch), ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch (1 sp made). Make 3 more sps, then work tr in next 8 ch (2 bls made). Now work a shadow space as follows: (Ch 1, skip 1 ch, tr in next ch) twice. Work 1 more shadow sp, and tr in next 8 ch. Make 2 sps, 4 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls, 2 shadow sps, 2 bls, 4 sps, and 1 bl. Ch 7, turn. Cut off remaining chain. Starting with 2nd row, work as for Runner, but follow chart for Arm Pieces to top. Fasten off.
