Repeat from * across, ending with ch 2, d tr in last sc. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Sc in first d tr, ch 2, * sc in next 2 d tr, ch 4. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 2, skip 2 ch of turning chain, sc in next ch. Ch 9, turn. 4th row: * Skip 1 ch of next ch-4, d tr in next 2 ch, ch 4. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 4, d tr in last sc. Ch 1, turn. 5th row: Sc in next d tr, * ch 4, sc in next 2 d tr. Repeat from * across, ending with ch 4, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch. Ch 7, turn. Repeat 2nd to 5th rows incl until piece measures 28 inches, ending with the 3rd row.
EDGING … 1st rnd: Ch 4 and make tr closely around, having 7 tr in center st of each corner. Join. 2nd rnd: Ch 1, * sc in next 4 tr, ch 5, sc in 5th ch from hook (picot made), sc in next tr, picot. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.
