Repeat from * until 4 p-loops in all are joined. Then complete re­maining three sides of second block as first block was completed. Fasten and break off.

CLOVER … With dark color, * ch 6, tr in 6th ch from hook, ch-5 p, tr in same ch, ch 5, sl st in same ch, ch 4, 4 d c in 4th ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in same place as last d c. Repeat from * once more. Break off, leaving a 6-inch length of thread for sewing. Sew this clover to center of second block.
   Make 4 more floral blocks, and 4 more lace blocks, joining them as before, and alternating blocks (2 x 5 blocks).

FILL-IN BLOCKS … 1st row: With light col­or ch 18, d c in 9th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch, 2 more sps. Ch 5, turn. 2nd and 3rd rows: 1 sp, 2 bls, 1 sp. Ch 5, turn. 4th row: 4 sps. Fasten and break off. Attach dark color to 3rd st of ch-5 at one corner, ch 1, 2 s c in same ch, 2 s c in same sp, s c in d c, 1 half d c and 2 d c in next sp; d c in d c, 2 d c and 1 half d c in next sp; s c in d c, 2 s c in corner sp, 1 s c in 3rd ch of ch-5 of same corner, sl st in corner of first block, 2 s c in same ch back on fill-in block, 2 s c in sp, s c in d c, 1 half d c and 2 d c in next sp; d c in d c, 2 d c and 1 half d c in next sp; s c in next sp, 2 s c in corner sp, s c in 3rd ch of ch-5 of same corner, sl st in corner of second block, and continue thus around. PILLOW TOP No. 7161-B

When completed, pillow top measures about 15½ inches square.

   Make 2 floral blocks and 2 lace blocks exactly as for Runner 7161-A, joining blocks in same manner.
   Make 9 fill-in blocks as for fill-in blocks of Runner 7161-A, and join in same way. Then make 8 pieces of edging, and join 2 pieces on each side of square. Sew this piece to pillow (see illustration).
