Repeat from * across, ending with s c in last 3 s c. Ch 1, turn. 4th and all even rows: S c in each st. Ch 1, turn. 5th row: S c in 1st s c, * tr in next s c, s c in next s c; thread over, insert hook under bar of next tr on 2nd row and complete as for a d c; skip s c behind d c just made, s c in next s c. Repeat from * across, ending with tr in next s c, s c in last s c. Ch 1, turn. 7th row: * S c in next 3 s c, thread over, insert hook under bar of d c of 4th row and complete as for a d c; skip s c behind d c just made. Repeat from * across, ending with s c in last 3 s c. Ch 1, turn. 9th row: S c in 1st s c, * tr in next s c, s c in next 3 s c. Repeat from * across, ending with tr in next s c, s c in last s c. Ch 1, turn. 11th row: * S c in next s c, d c around bar of next tr, skip s c behind d c just made, s c in next s c, tr in next s c.    Sew pieces together with over-and-over stitches. For loop, ch 36; d c in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Fold piece in half and sew the 2 ends to 1 corner of pot holder.
