MATERIALS:
J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 1 ball of any color desired.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 5.
A bone ring.

Starting at bottom, ch 60. 1st row: Make 7 tr in 6th ch from hook, drop st from hook, insert hook back in top st of turning ch and draw loop through the one hook (a popcorn st); * ch 2, skip 1 ch, 7 tr in next ch; drop st from hook, insert hook from back of work in last ch made and draw loop through the one on hook, thus making popcorn st on wrong side (a re­versed popcorn st); ch 2, skip 1 ch, make a regular popcorn st in next ch. Repeat from * across (14 regu­lar and 14 reversed popcorn sts in row). Ch 4, turn. Now make regular popcorn sts over reversed popcorn sts and vice versa, making ch-2 between pc sts until piece measures about 6 inches square. Make s c closely all around edges. Sew bone ring to one corner.
